Introducing Kathryn Barker Productions
Kathryn Barker is a new independent theatre producer and The Collector is her first venture.
She hails from Surrey and has a BA in English and French from the University of Leeds, which saw her living and working as a primary school English teacher in France.
With this background in languages and a passion for theatre, she started working in production as Assistant Producer and Programmer for London Classic Theatre. Over the last eighteen months, she has been responsible for programming the 2016 UK & Ireland tour of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party, as well as the 15th Anniversary Tours of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot.
The focus at Kathryn Barker Productions is on championing new writing, producing first-class, dynamic theatre and telling relevant stories which reflect the world in which we live today.
The Collector is political theatre at its finest and is as pertinent to today’s conflicts, as it is to the war zones of 2003.
Kathryn is delighted to be producing The Collector in association with London Classic Theatre.
